Pastor Caleb & Rachel Phelps

Pastor Caleb and Rachel joined the staff at Crosspointe in September 2015. God has been preparing both of them in different ways for work in ministry. Pastor Caleb felt the call to the ministry while still in High School. Since that time he began to dedicate his life to preparing for that calling. Pastor Caleb went off to Bible college where he majored in Bible. While there he served as a Resident Assistant in the dorms as well as the President of the university's Ministerial Class. After college Caleb went on to complete a Masters degree in Theology. Following the completion of his seminary training Pastor Caleb traveled in full time evangelism. During that time he had the privilege of speaking at numerous different churches, camps, and conferences across the United States.

Rachel, similarly, felt God's call to ministry while she was still in high school. After high school she too went off to college where she minored in art and majored in Christian Ministries. While still in college Rachel served as a leader in the dorms and in her society. Rachel is the crafty one in the relationship and loves to work with her hands. She has served at Southland Christian Camp for two summers one of which she served as a lead counselor.

On July 7, 2017 Pastor Caleb & Rachel welcomed their little daughter (Addalyn Hope Phelps) into their home.

Get to know Pastor Caleb

At 5 years old Pastor Caleb made a profession of faith. As the years went by, however, he continued to have an overwhelming sense that he had never truly been saved. There is a profound difference between knowing the Gospel and believing the Gospel. One Wednesday night when Caleb was 12 years old he felt and overwhelming sense of his need to be saved. On the way home he knelt down next to his mom at the entrance to their home and accepted Christ last his Savior.

Get to Know Miss Rachel

Rachel was saved at the age of 7. It was during a week of special meetings at her church where her dad (Randy David) is the pastor. The evangelist preached a strong Gospel message. Rachel was convicted that she was a sinner in need of a Savior. Despite the conviction in her heart Rachel never went forward during the invitation. Later that night when she got home she couldn't fall asleep. Finally, she got up and went to go talk to her parents. That night she accepted Christ's free gift of salvation and received Christ into her life.
What's your favorite Bible verse?
  • "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." (2 Corinthians 12:9)
